“The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden presents the return of the international blockbuster exhibit ZimSculpt, a world-renowned collection of hand-selected, modern Zimbabwean stone sculptures. As the signature event of Summer at the Arboretum, ZimSculpt runs from May 1 to Aug. 8.” – Excerpt from zimsculpt.org

I haven’t gone many places since the start of the pandemic. But when I heard ZimSculpt was back in Dallas, I had to make a trip before the exhibition closed. Out of all the sculptures, I couldn’t take my eyes off this beauty. At every angle, she is lovely and captivating!

Being in the garden today refreshed and uplifted my spirits, considering all the uncertainty we face right now. It’s also my mother’s birthday today, but she’s not able to get out like she used to because of health challenges. She would’ve loved seeing this with us. The sculpture reminds me of the serious, meditative side of her personality, which I have too. This has been my mood throughout the pandemic as we navigate these unpredictable times. The visit to the garden today encouraged me to stay prayerful and hopeful!
