I had a blast with my husband Arlington Jones at the San Antonio Red Carpet Premiere of “The Quilt: A Living History of African American Music. He’s the featured artist performing ragtime in this award-winning educational documentary for children and adults. Produced by Musical Bridges Around the World (MBAW), a performing arts nonprofit in San Antonio, TX. Directed by Julya Jara. Filmed at the historic Carver Community Cultural Center, San Antonio TX.

For this special occasion, the theme was summer chic. Since I already knew what my husband was wearing, I searched until I found this beautiful Eliza J Womens Floral Print Maxi Wrap Dress. I love the airy chiffon large blooms fabric, tiered ruffle high-low skirt, and three-quarter peasant sleeves. The white bodice lining and belt in matching fabric makes for a seamless look. The dress is comfortable too, even in 100°+ Texas weather. Gladly for me, it was the last one on the clearance rack at my local Dillard’s. The dress is also sold at Nordstrom, Macy’s, and a few other online retailers.

THREE STYLES IN ONE
Really, the look embodies three of my styles I refer to as: Lady Abloom + Texas Belle + City Soul, Country Heart. My personal style combines elements of femininity, freedom, boldness, industrial, and ruggedness. I mix flowing fabric, ruffles, flowers, lace, boots, metals & pearls, which aren’t traditional combinations but they all speak to things I love! Be encouaged to mix and match styles and build a look that works for you!
